Today, I am sharing an important announcement regarding the opening of applications for "Traveling Session Priority Notifications and Hosting Requests," tailored for those of you who reside outside of our home atelier in Kyoto.
Roots and Reflections: From a "Traveling Bodyworker" 15 Years Ago to the Present
My journey in bodywork began approximately 15 years ago, sparked by the passing of my father. It was born from a deep, heartfelt desire to convey to as many people as possible the immeasurable significance of human touch.
At that time, terms like "bodywork" and "somatic therapy" were rarely recognized. Rather than establishing a fixed studio, I connected with people through early social media platforms like Facebook, inviting local hosts to gather interested souls so we could hold sessions together.
From Miyagi (Sendai) in the north, to Aichi, Hiroshima, and as far south as Fukuoka and Kagoshima—.
For about two years, I traversed various lands across Japan as a "Traveling Bodyworker," weaving warm connections with local communities and delivering sessions wherever I went.
In time, I established roots in Osaka and Kyoto. Thanks to the generosity of many, my practice has evolved to welcome clients not only from all over Japan but even from overseas to our Kyoto salon. Additionally, there remain a few special locations, such as Tokyo and Miki City in Hyogo Prefecture, where I have continued to visit regularly for sessions from those early days until now.
For Those Who Felt "Kyoto Is Too Far" or "Traveling Is Difficult"
However, since I ceased my nationwide travels and anchored my practice in Kyoto, I have often wondered:
- "The distance to Kyoto feels a bit too far to travel for a session."
- "Long-distance travel itself places a burden on my system due to hypertonicity, chronic fatigue, or physical health."
I sensed there were quite a few people who wished to experience Unfolding Bodywork, yet regrettably had to let it go.
Precisely because these sessions are designed to soften deep-seated tension and restore a profound sense of safety to the nervous system, I wish to offer moments of heartfelt repose right within your local communities, free from the exhaustion of travel—.
And so, we have now launched a registration page for "Traveling Session Priority Notifications and Hosting Requests" to bring our sessions directly to various regions across Japan.
How Priority Notifications and Requests Work
Based on the hosting requests received from all over the country, we will successively plan traveling session tour schedules, prioritizing areas with the highest demand.
